 Why Feather Hill

Angela and Fred Spring acquired 151 Mashamoquet Rd-Pomfret Center, CT as our residential home in September 2000 after nearly 10 years- long search for the "perfect inn" we decided this property had all of the perfect attributes with  French Glass Doors and colional moldings and Antigue Glass door knobs throughout the original house. Palladium glass window over the front  door was the beginning of  Feather Hill B&B! A 10 year dream turned into a plan in 1998 when the couple attended many aspiring seminars and innkeeping workshops. With fours years of hard work and many renovations-we successfully opened in July 2004.

With Angela's foodservice background of owning her own Retaurant/Catering business and working for Nestle USA Foodservice it was only  natural for Angela to own and operate her own Bed and Breakfast...So Feather Hill B&B was born.

Originally from Long Island, New York Angela held her 20 year career in sales and several  manger positions within-Nestle USA.  Transferred to New England in 1987, living in Connecticut now 23 years. In 2007 Angela decided to retired from Nestle to manage and operate Feather Hill B&B..we are celebrating our sixth year anniversary.

Fred, is an ex Marine fought in the Korean War-Dog 7 Unit. He is semi-retired as he transferred his medical business to his daughter Maureen which operates in Thompson, Connecticut. So he is kept quite busy with working at the Inn and with his daughter.

Fred enjoys building, reading and travel.

Angela enjoys gardening, experimenting in the kitchen, needle point.

Our Children and Grandchildren

We have 9 children and 13 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Three are off to college, three are at Woodstock Academy...so life is great!

We all look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the inn!
